The suprising thing about the Nindiri pit crater is how different the two sections of the wall really are. Here we see the western side, as exposed in the wall of San Pedro pit. While some of the flows are similar, there are a lot of differences too. This make it even more challenging when we start to look at the walls of Martian calderas, such as the view of rim of Olympus Mons caldera.
