While holding two administrative positions at the University of Hawaii, much of my time is devoted to topics other than research. However, I still have a strong interest is the geology of Mars. Specifically, I am working on the analysis of impact craters and volcanoes on Mars. I have two mapping projects funded by NASA Planetary Geology and Geophysics Program (to produce 1:200K geologic maps of the summit caldera of Olympus Mons volcano, and the impact crater Tooting). I am also finishing up some work on the analysis of volcanic vents and lava flows on Mars using THEMIS images. The main topic that I have right now is the geologic analysis of an impact crater called Tooting:
