W. M. Keck Cosmochemistry: featuring a Cameca IMS 1280 ion microprobe for measurements of isotopic and trace element abundances.

Infrasound : monitoring low-frequency atmospheric sound waves generated by natural and man-made sources.

Materials Science : studying the behavior of minerals and functional materials under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.

Paleomagnetics : studying short-term behavior of the Earth's magnetic field; petrofabrics of igneous and sedimentary rocks; absolute paleointensities of Hawaiian and Icelandic basalts; magnetic properties of Martian meteorites.

Raman Systems : investigating natural and synthetic materials by Micro-Raman and Remote Raman Spectroscopy, Laser-Induced Fluorescense (LIF), and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectrosopy (LIBS) for terrestrial and planetary applications.
