W. M. Keck Cosmochemistry: featuring a Cameca IMS 1280 ion microprobe for measurements of isotopic and trace element abundances.

Infrared Spectroscopy : studying the vibrational, or thermal infrared, properties of rocks (including meteorites) and minerals, using both emission and reflection measurement techniques.

Infrasound : monitoring low-frequency atmospheric sound waves generated by natural and man-made sources.

Paleomagnetics : studying short-term behavior of the Earth's magnetic field; petrofabrics of igneous and sedimentary rocks; absolute paleointensities of Hawaiian and Icelandic basalts; magnetic properties of Martian meteorites.

Raman Spectroscopy : investigating natural and synthetic materials by Raman spectroscopy and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy techniques.
