Research Interests:
Seismic structure of the crust and upper mantle at oceanic hotspots and mid-ocean ridges. Earthquakes at mid-ocean ridges, oceanic transforms, and hotspots.

Current Projects:
I am a geophysicist/seismologist interested in a wide array of problems in different tectonic settings, including oceanic hotspots, mid-ocean ridges, intracontinental collisional belts, and cratons. I have field experience both as a sea-going marine scientist collecting seismic, bathymetry, and gravity data in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and as a land seismologist studying regional upper mantle structure at Iceland and Hawaii. I am currently studying the characteristics of Hawaiian earthquakes. In the near future, my colleagues and I will be conducting an experiment using ocean bottom seismometers to image the upper mantle seismic structure around the Hawaiian islands with high resolution.
