Provide students, separated into their "expert" groups, with information related to their area of expertise. The teacher should decide what method of obtaining the information is appropriate. Suggestions may include:

• Provide the science experts with a description of the Problem scenarios, aeronautics experts with copies of  NASA Dryden aircraft lithographs (pictures with descriptions, websites, etc.), remote sensing experts with descriptions of the RS instruments.
• Bookmark aircraft websites and send aeronautics experts to the website to find necessary information

Refer students to their journals for the following or Distribute information to groups:

• Group activity instructions (AMS-2)
• Problem scenarios
• Remote sensing instrument descriptions
• Lithographs of aircraft, spotter cards or fact sheet websites
