The fundamental purpose of this laboratory is to support the study of natural and synthetic materials by Raman spectroscopy and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy techniques (LIBS). We pursue this objective further by developing instrumentation to meet our scientific needs and the needs of the scientific community (both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial).
