Gamma Ray Spectrometry, Higher Education

Projects:
Professor Englert is a scientist who has held research, faculty and leadership positions at the University of Cologne, Germany, UC San Diego and San Jose State University (department chair), California, Victoria University of Wellington (Pro-Vice Chancellor Research and Dean of Science, and Architecture & Design), New Zealand, and the University of Hawai'i at Manoa (Chancellor). He is currently conducting and managing active programs in space and social sciences. He is interested in environmental and economic relevance of higher education efforts with a focus on Asia. At the Hawai'i Institute of Geophysics and Planetology (HIGP) he is conducting Mars research within the Mars Odyssey Mission. Professor Englert contributes to both national and international higher education governance and policy development as a member of IAU (International Association of Universities).
