I am a marine geophysicist and my research centers on understanding rifting and seafloor spreading processes. I have worked in backarc basins (Manus, Lau, Mariana), mid-ocean ridges (East Pacific Rise, Chile Ridge) and areas undergoing rift-to-spreading transitions (Woodlark Basin, Red Sea). My work uses various methods including multibeam, side-scan sonar, geophysical mapping and heat flow measurements broadly aimed at understanding tectonics processes and the geologic evoution these areas.
