HIGP faculty members regularly teach (or team-teach) undergraduate and graduate level classes at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Historically, this teaching has mainly contributed to the degree programs offered by the Department of Earth Sciences. Classes regularly taught (or team-taught) by HIGP faculty include ERTH 105 (Voyage Through the Solar System), ERTH 107 (Solar System Studio), ERTH 301 (Mineralogy), ERTH 404 (Remote Compositional Analysis: Spectroscopy, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry of Planetary Surfaces), ERTH 444 (Plate Tectonics), ERTH 460 (Geological Remote Sensing), and ERTH 669 (Cosmochemistry).
